
Industrial Electrician or Electrical Technician – Dunedin Based
We’ve got a fantastic opportunity for a skilled Industrial Electrician / Technician to join our Dunedin crew!

This is a dynamic, site-focused role that spans multiple disciplines, including electrical installation, maintenance, automation, and instrumentation.
​
You’ll be required to travel and work on-site across the South Island, often within demanding industrial environments. The role offers hands-on variety and the opportunity to build advanced skills in electrical design and automation technologies.
​
This is a permanent, full-time gig — we’re looking for someone who wants to grow with us for the long haul.

What You'll be Doing

Getting hands-on with installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment.

Planning, wiring, inspecting, and keeping electrical systems in top shape — from light circuits to motor controls.

Interpret and work from wiring diagrams, PLC I/O, and instrumentation drawings
-
Troubleshoot and maintain motor control systems, including VSDs and soft starters
-
Assist with PLC/HMI interrogation and automation support
-
Completing risk assessments before starting work — safety first!

Filling out the required COCs and ESCs (we know you love the paperwork 😉).

Mentoring and supporting our awesome apprentices.

Jumping in to help wherever needed — teamwork makes the dream work.
What We’re Looking For

Minimum Requirements – Electrician

NZ Electrical Registration and current Practising Licence.
-
Full NZ driver’s licence.
-
Strong mechanical aptitude and industrial background.
-
A knack for keeping calm under pressure and meeting deadlines.
-
Solid organisational and communication skills.
-
A team player with a positive attitude and an appetite for learning.
-
Willingness to put in extra time when needed (and get rewarded for it!).
